How We Work With You
We combine evidence-based techniques with a personalized, compassionate approach. Our modalities include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A practical, evidence-based starting point for anxiety and depression. You leave sessions with tools you can use that week.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy: A gentle, deeper approach to understanding the different "parts" of you, like the inner critic or the worrier, so you can heal old wounds with compassion instead of fighting yourself.
- Solution-Focused Therapy: A forward-looking, goal-centered approach that builds on your existing strengths to create real change in a shorter time.
- Mindfulness-Based Approaches: Practices that help you slow down, calm your nervous system and stay present, even when your mind is racing.
- Culturally responsive and trauma-informed care: Therapy that honors your identity, culture and lived experience, at a pace that feels safe for you.

What Our Clients Say
“I initially came to KCC as a result of challenges in my relationship with my partner. The therapy I received helped me connect the dots I needed to in order to understand how to move forward in a healthy way. I left KCC with more positive progress than I ever thought I would gain.”
"Words can't express how grateful I am to my therapist for helping me rebuild myself - for identifying approaches that aren't working for me anymore, for making connections that help me understand how I got here, and for helping me identify new approaches that better fit who I am now and how I want to be in this world."
"Our work together has changed my life. I've made more progress in our one year of sessions than my past 9 years of other work combined."
"The safe space to share without having to edit my words to audiences who might “judge” me was great and also forced me to tell my therapist how I am feeling without masking anything."
“Having an ally and a sounding board as I worked through relationship issues, and helping me to shift my mindset and approach to conflict and difficult moments.”
"The most valuable thing about my therapy was having someone unbiased get to know our son and become a supporter that he can trust"
"The matching specialist is an incredible feature! It can be so hard and time-consuming as a client to select the right therapist and also find convenient appointments, and this can be a big barrier to accessing treatment! They identified two possible therapists for my particular needs and was able to line up our schedules so I could get an appointment right away."

Do you offer CBT for anxiety and depression?
Yes. Many clients start with CBT because it brings relief quickly: skills for racing thoughts, rumination, panic and low motivation. When you’re ready, we can also explore where those patterns come from.
Do I have to go deeper than CBT?
No. If CBT gives you what you need, that’s a real success. Some clients later want to understand the roots of their anxiety or depression, and we’ll talk about that option openly. You always decide.
