We know that balancing family life during these chaotic times can be disorienting and overwhelming. That’s why we’re hosting a virtual weekly process group, led by licensed therapists and fellow parents Jamie Alongi and Aaron Severn, to share experiences with other parents in similar situations.

Over three months, connect with others who understand your unique challenges, explore coping tools to manage stress, and find stability for your family amidst shifting policies and uncertainty. Whether you’re experiencing job insecurity or the emotional toll of today’s political climate, know that you’re not alone.

A parenting processing group is a type of therapy group where parents meet with a therapist to discuss and process their experiences, emotions, and challenges related to parenting. Group members support one another by sharing experiences.  

Benefits may include improved parenting skills, increased emotional support, reduced stress and anxiety, and a sense of community and connection with other parents.
Yes, the group is confidential, and participants are expected to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of others in the group.

No, the group is a live therapy event. (I actually don’t think this question is necessary unless you feel strongly)

Yes, because this is a process group, members discuss what is relevant to them at the time and new members can join on a rolling basis. Fill out the contact form below if you’re interested and a therapist will be in touch.
Parents in DC who are experiencing stress due to current events.
No, but you can be. Either Aaron or Jamie will meet with potential group members to make sure they’re a good fit.

We understand schedules are busy. However, regular attendance is encouraged to get the most out of the group experience. Each session is paid separately.
