Therapeutic Approach

My style as a therapist is warm, inviting, and collaborative—I want you to feel seen and heard exactly as you are. I know that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so I prioritize building a foundation of trust and safety before we dive into the heavy lifting. I naturally lean toward humor and down-to-earth conversation.

In our work together, I use an Integrative Systemic Therapy (IST) lens. This means we won’t just look at you in isolation; we will explore the interconnected nature of your experiences and relationships and how they shape your life. I pull from Contextual Therapy to help trace family patterns, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you build compassion for all parts of yourself, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to provide structured ways to self-soothe during high-stress moments. My goal is to help you move away from old cycles, tap into your resilience, and build a life that feels authentic to you.

Background

I have experience with a diverse range of clients, including LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC folks, children, and families. I welcome complex issues such as financial distress, infidelity, and self-criticism. I am deeply comfortable collaborating with the key people and communities in your life, such as school counselors or family members, when needed.

I understand the vulnerability it takes for you to allow me to enter into your world, and I truly view it as a privilege to be invited into working with the various facets of your life. Whether you are navigating a major life transition or just trying to find a bit more stability in your daily life, I am here to help you get there.
