Therapeutic Approach
I’m endlessly curious about the way children experience the world.
That’s why I love working with children and families. Play creates a language of its own, one that can help children process difficult experiences, express emotions, and build confidence in ways that feel natural and safe. I enjoy helping children make sense of big feelings while partnering with parents and caregivers to better understand what’s happening beneath the surface and strengthen the connection they share.
With teens and adults, I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach that helps clients navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence. Whether you’re facing anxiety, life transitions, identity questions, burnout, or past experiences that continue to affect you, my goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow.
Background
Before joining Kennedy Counseling Collective, I worked as a school social worker in DC public and charter schools and as a children and family therapist in a community mental health setting. I also worked as a psychiatric technician at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington, primarily supporting children and adolescents.
Long before becoming a therapist, I worked as a tutor and soccer coach, experiences that sparked my fascination with how children experience the world. Across every role I’ve held since, I’ve found myself returning to the same question: what is this child trying to tell us beneath the behavior? That curiosity continues to guide my work today.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll usually find me hiking, practicing yoga (I’m a certified 200-hour yoga teacher), reading, or spending time with the people I love.
