Therapeutic Approach
Therapy, at its best, feels less like an appointment and more like a conversation. One where you’re truly heard, never judged, and always met with warmth. That’s the kind of space I’m committed to creating for every person who works with me.
My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meaning you set the direction. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, major life transitions, or simply trying to feel more like yourself, we’ll work together to identify what matters most to you and build a path forward that feels realistic and meaningful. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help strengthen coping strategies and resilience, and I often weave in mindfulness practices to support the kind of day-to-day grounding that makes change feel sustainable, not overwhelming.
Background
I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My clinical background includes crisis care, work alongside Montgomery County Behavioral Health Services supporting adults with complex mental health needs, and experience with couples navigating communication, trust, and emotional connection. Those experiences didn’t just sharpen my skills. They deepened my genuine passion for this work.
I have a particular dedication to supporting individuals and couples in the LGBTQ+ community, and I approach every session with the cultural sensitivity and care that identity-affirming therapy requires.
My colleagues would describe me as empathetic, warm, and thoughtful, and I bring that same presence into my work with clients. Outside of therapy, I practice yoga several times a week as a way to stay grounded through the same mindfulness I encourage in others.
